      Memorial Day Poems                                            'Other' Poems

MEM_OR_Y_REAL HIS_story

Frag-ment-al State
Seed, womb, wounds
In-vis-able, in-vis-ual pieces
Peace, torn, worn,
Dis-intigrate-play-dis-play
Lies, life, layers,
Light illuminates war torn mental planes.

He-hides His- mem_or_ies,
Hidden, close, closet.M-eye hide-in tears
Forgotten casualties
Pieces of mem-or-y-real,
Never to be restored,Stored, in lost pieces.

Memorial days pass
farther in time, father
Forgotten
Live-ing- in lost, pieces
Remain, pain, alone.
Dark room, seeds, light upon illusions.
Within, visions shine on mind.

I-E-ye retinal process see real-ity
Visions, voice, feel, heal.
Gently integrate pieces,
Tangled in barbed wire
m-orn-ourn-ing, frozen in time,
by presidential declaration
as many go, have gone, leaving all behind.

In.frag.ments. New breeze.
Moments when music speaks
voices rise together
reflect, restore, torn bodies and minds.

Frag-mented Memories.

Never forgotten, holding hope like a child’s hand never embraced.
Minds create new worlds, art speaks, eyes see
New visions fly to higher states, never to repeat his-tory.

Her-story, error-frag: on hard drive, reality, Memorial-every-day.
V-iet-Name Sake.

 The Way

Nature's evolution, primal revolution
breaks the logic system machine.
Passion beyond reason lights the trail,
                                         as the rivers
                              waters
                       soft
                fluid
    motion
               sculpts the landscape.
              As once was a mystery.

Beneath it all, as within one.

Nature balanced
Universal harmony
    will prevail.
  Truth ignites
action beyond fear.
Visions take flight
as once only in dreams.
Deeper runs the way
than minds, machines, or anything in between.

                                       SoulFlower

Calling to speak, with new tongues
An urn in which obscure thought is summoned
Translated into word, sound.

Soulflower, gardens blossom forth from thought pure
As we search, find answers in all

Hearing the silent gardens grow
Letting natural sequence occur
Beyond the mind, to the center of the heart
No pieces apart, within connection all flourish.
Soulflower, gardens blossom forth from thought pure

As we search, find answers in all
Hearing the silent gardens grow.

Philosophy and magic are more near than afar
Blossoming, reaching for the stars.
Soulflower, gardens blossom forth from thought pure
As we search, find answers in all
Hearing the silent gardens grow.

            The Warrior

When your life is colored in despair
When the path to tread is lost

When you've grown weary
When storms blow winds of change your way

May your remember,
People who care
Loving words said

May the light of the sun and stars give you faith,
May the light of the sun and stars give you faith, In moments of darkness

May the strength of the universe be with you always
May the strength of the universe be with you always

May loving energy heal you
May loving energy heal you

Hand in hand we are warriors passing through the shadows, reaching for the light.

Hand in hand we are warriors passing through the shadows, reaching for the light

               Angel Song
(the spirit of this poem & wish is to bring comfort for those who grieve)

Just when a tear I did cry
an angel came by
with wings of starbright feathers,
softer than the finest silk.
This angel held me ever so gently,
yet safely tight.
There was no fear for my flight,
with my faith to guide me
and my angel beside me.

When then in a wonderous show
I looked below,
upon the seeds of love
I did sow,
each one of you so unique,
with your own special glow.
Like flowers so beautiful,
our garden of love shall forever grow.

Then filled my heart
all the love I had known
to carry me where angels songs
echo amongst the stars.
Just when I thought that was all
the angel said,
"all this love you may bring along,
for with memories we are never afar"
she told me,
"all the moments we've shared
filled of laughter, joy, and care
are treasures I may always hold.”

"It is always this way", the angel did say,
"for even when we must part
The truth of love is forever written within one's heart."

Now it was time to see all the beauty I had ever known
and all the ways my spirit had grown.
Soon the skies did open to heavenly sight,
as I was gently embraced by the light
so bright that earthly eyes cannot see,
in this place that is pure energy.

So if you are sad and a tear does fall,
or if you feel as if we are apart.

Listen to your heart and you will know it's true I am always with you.
In your times of laughter,
I will be by your side smiling along,
In times that are hard,
I'll give you my shoulder to cry on
and send you strength to carry on.

Remember as you live your life
Love is the greatest power of all,
a precious gift,
with beauty that shines forever on.
